Superintendent Outage & Process
About this role
Superintendent responsible for developing and executing long-range outage plans and managing major capital projects at Entergy power generation facilities. Oversees the complete lifecycle of planned outages, manages budgets and schedules, leads cross-functional teams, and ensures projects are delivered safely and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- —Oversee long-range and detailed planning and execution of unit outages according to the outage stage gate process
- —Manage cost, schedule, and safety processes for outage scopes of work
- —Interface with Plant Management personnel to communicate and drive resolution of key issues impacting projects and outages
- —Coach project managers to deliver expected financial, safety, and schedule results on outage scopes and projects
- —Lead Outage Stage Gate Reviews, ECD/CBO, and 5-year budget planning
- —Oversee and manage LTSA contracts
- —Participate in plant monthly ROP meetings
- —Negotiate and influence contract language with vendors and contractors to protect Entergy's interests
- —Understand and manage the Condition Based Outage process, Boiler Tube Failure Reduction process, Risk Register, and 5-year budget plan
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- —Minimum 5 years of power plant maintenance-related experience
- —Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in a Project Management leadership role
- —Knowledge of power plant major component repair and AIMM
- —Knowledge of ROP, OSGP, Risk Register, Supply Chain, and Accounting policies and procedures
- —EH&S policy knowledge and understanding of compliance standards, especially Sarbanes-Oxley
- —Knowledge of industry standards related to modification of plant components and engineering standards
- —Understanding of Condition Based Outage process requirements
- —Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project
- —Knowledge of ASME codes applicable to large power boilers and steam piping
Location
Onsite in Texas (The Woodlands, Beaumont, or Orange); 50-75% travel required; Safety Sensitive position with mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing
