Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience

Minimum 5 years power plant maintenance experience

Minimum 2 years project management leadership experience

Knowledge of power plant major component repair, AIMM, ROP, OSGP, Risk Register, Supply Chain, and Accounting policies

EH&S policy and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance knowledge

Understanding of Condition Based Outage (CBO) process requirements and ASME codes (power boilers/steam piping)

Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Office suite

About this role

Lead outage planning and execution at a major US nuclear/fossil power plant. Develop multi-year outage strategies, manage Condition Based Outage (CBO) processes, oversee vendor contracts (LTSA), and drive financial/safety/schedule performance. This Safety Sensitive role requires direct oversight of complex unit outages and stakeholder management across plant leadership.

Responsibilities

Oversee long-range and detailed planning/execution of unit outages per outage stage gate process

Manage cost, schedule, and safety KPIs for outage scopes; resolve critical issues impacting projects

Lead Outage Stage Gate Reviews, ECD/CBO assessments, and 5-year capital budget planning

Coach project managers on financial, safety, and schedule delivery targets

Negotiate LTSA and vendor contracts to protect company interests; manage Risk Register

Interface with Plant Management and participate in monthly ROP (Reactor Oversight Process) meetings

Location, schedule, and travel

Onsite in Beaumont, Orange, or The Woodlands, Texas. 50–75% travel required. Safety Sensitive position with mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing.
