About this role

Entergy seeks a Project Manager to lead capital project optimization initiatives across the enterprise. Execute project value analysis by conducting subject matter expert interviews, developing improvement hypotheses, facilitating problem-solving workshops, and delivering actionable recommendations. This role involves analyzing project documentation, presenting findings to stakeholders, and coordinating implementation of identified cost and schedule improvements. Placement level (Project Manager, Senior, or Senior Lead) determined by education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze capital project documentation to identify potential value levers and improvement opportunities
  • Identify and conduct interviews with subject matter experts to refine project analysis and validate hypotheses
  • Develop and present PowerPoint presentations and fact-basis materials during problem-solving workshops
  • Coordinate workshop participants and facilitate collaborative sessions to generate value-creation ideas
  • Consolidate workshop outputs and work with project teams to estimate value, capital headroom, and implementation enablers
  • Coordinate with functional departments to ensure alignment with corporate standards and guidelines
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate project issues impacting schedule and performance
  • Support project team follow-up activities to ensure approved ideas are implemented
  • Capture lessons learned and disseminate best practices across multiple project scrubs
  • Promote safe behavior and ensure adherence to safety rules and protocols
  • Perform work in both office and field conditions as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field; OR 4+ years of equivalent/related work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Electric Utility Industry, or related field (required for Project Manager level)
  • Demonstrated history of safe performance and active safety involvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software applications
  • Knowledge of project management principles and effective estimating practices
  • Understanding of industry best practices
  • Demonstrated cross-functional project leadership and team performance capability

Desired

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification

Location

Primary locations: The Woodlands, TX; New Orleans, LA; or Jackson, MS (other Entergy locations may be considered). 25–50% travel required. Work performed in office and field conditions.
