About this role
Senior Superintendent of Production at a nuclear power plant, responsible for daily operations management, shift staff leadership, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. This role requires extensive nuclear power plant experience and demonstrated leadership capability to drive operational excellence, team development, and a strong safety culture.
Responsibilities
- —Manage and oversee daily operations of a nuclear power plant in a production leadership role
- —Foster a safety-oriented culture and lead the team toward operational excellence by example
- —Coach, mentor, and develop direct and indirect reports to exceed individual and company goals
- —Meet system load requirements and monitor operations for efficiency and safety
- —Ensure all applicable nuclear regulatory requirements (NRC) are followed
- —Oversee, lead, and direct plant shift staff
- —Make appropriate operational decisions based on extensive experience and nuclear industry judgment
- —Act as a change agent for the plant by improving morale and staff engagement
- —Lead plant efforts to ensure stakeholder expectations are met
- —Foster stakeholder communication and maintain an inclusive, safety-focused environment
- —Provide regular communication and updates as the voice of the department
- —Be available to work additional hours and alternate locations during storms, outages, and emergencies
Qualifications
- —High school diploma or equivalent AND 7+ years of nuclear or conventional power plant experience in maintenance, operations, or project work; OR
- —Technology-specific or business-related degree AND 5+ years of equivalent work experience in power plant maintenance, operations, or project work
- —Excellent oral, written, and computer skills
- —Ability to build strong teams through leadership and interpersonal skills
- —Authorization to work in the United States
Location
Onsite in Holly Ridge, Louisiana; 25-50% travel; available for emergency call-out during storms and outages
