About this role
First-line supervisor of Entergy's Radiation Protection Operations personnel at a nuclear facility. Manages daily RP operations tasks, supervises full-time and temporary staff, and ensures all activities comply with NRC regulatory and procedural guidelines.
Responsibilities
- —Supervise daily RP Operations tasks including on-shift activities
- —Manage multi-disciplined group including union and contractor oversight
- —Ensure assigned tasks are performed safely and efficiently within regulatory and procedural guidelines
- —Manage personnel and resolve employee conflicts or concerns
- —Assist in RP budget development and function within budget
- —Communicate with all levels of the organization and represent the department at meetings
- —Propose time-saving tooling and work methods
- —Interface with other Entergy sites to maximize resource sharing of RP personnel
- —Interface with regulatory and industry representatives on behalf of station activities
- —Communicate technical Radiation Protection information verbally and in writing
- —Participate in shared resources program
- —Serve as member of Emergency Response Organization
Qualifications
- —High school diploma or equivalent
- —At least 5 years of experience in RP Operations
- —4 years of experience in craft or discipline supervised
- —Technical proficiency in RP Operations area
- —Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation
- —Proficiency with current computer business applications
- —Meet ANSI/ANS-3.1-1978 Section 4.3.2 requirements for Supervisors Not Requiring NRC License
Desired
- —B.S. in Health Physics or related technical degree (may be credited for 3 years of experience)
Location
Onsite in Killona, Louisiana; up to 25% travel
