About this role

Plant Supervisor - Maintenance role at Entergy Texas overseeing all plant maintenance activities for a power generation facility. You'll lead multi-skilled maintenance teams (Mechanical Technicians, ICE Technicians, Maintenance Operators) performing troubleshooting and repairs on turbine-generator, boiler systems, and auxiliary equipment during normal operations, startups, shutdowns, and planned/emergency outages.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, develop, and manage workload for skilled craft employees to address all plant maintenance activities in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
  • Recruit maintenance personnel and evaluate their performance
  • Maintain and uphold quality, standards, procedures, and regulations including compliance with OSHA, NERC, EPA, State DEQ, and SOX requirements
  • Collaborate with Planning and Operations personnel to assign resources and address arising maintenance issues
  • Manage contracts and purchases for assigned projects and outage areas
  • Schedule management and financial reporting including weekly/monthly cost tracking, monthly accruals, and future project estimations
  • Staff and manage routine, planned, emergency, and reserve outages and assigned projects
  • Develop schedule and budget related to routine maintenance and planned outages
  • Train and develop a multi-skilled work group
  • Assist in preparing and planning near-term and strategic maintenance budgets
  • Interface and communicate with internal and external organizations and customers including managers, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Be available to work additional hours and alternate locations in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as needed

Preferred qualifications

  • 8-10 years of Instrumentation/Electrical or Mechanical experience
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience over maintenance

Location, schedule, and travel

Onsite in Orange, Texas; up to 25% travel; available for emergency calls and alternate locations as needed for storms and outages
