Required qualifications

  • Ability to work irregular hours and out-of-town assignments
  • ASP/CUSP/OSHA500 or equivalent certification required

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement safety programs aligned with management system elements
  • Conduct training to ensure employees and contract partners understand applicable rules, procedures, and expectations
  • Engage with employees and contract partners to observe conditions and provide immediate coaching on safe/unsafe practices
  • Lead field and site inspections, document deficiencies, and develop sustainable solutions to prevent repeat findings
  • Lead incident investigation process including root cause analysis and corrective action identification
  • Set and reinforce safe work expectations in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and procedures
  • Review safety data and metrics to identify trends and recommend corrective actions
  • Stop work when unsafe conditions are identified
  • Provide mentoring to other safety professionals
  • Take an active role in planning upcoming work to identify potential safety issues and solutions

Preferred qualifications

  • 10+ years industry experience with minimum 4 years in safety (Lead level)
  • ASP/CSP/SMS/CUSP/CIH or equivalent certification (Lead level)

Location, schedule, and travel

Onsite in Willis, Texas; up to 25% travel; ability to work irregular hours and out-of-town assignments required
