Project Manager I at Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant (Xcel Energy), a dual-unit Pressurized Water Reactor facility in Welch, MN. Responsibilities

—Develop project scope, schedules, and cost estimates in collaboration with system, program, and design engineering teams
—Interface with plant maintenance and construction forces to support project planning and execution
—Meet with operations, maintenance, and construction personnel to establish contracts and define project scope of work
—Monitor work progress and budget performance; resolve conflicts and adjust resources as needed
—Assist senior project managers with assigned projects and account for specific deliverables
—Manage multiple competing priorities and projects to meet critical deadlines

Qualifications

—3–7 years of power plant project management, engineering, construction, planning, or modification experience as a responsible engineer
—Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
—Demonstrated competency as a Project Manager with ability to work independently on complex assignments with some guidance
—Strong verbal and written communication skills
—Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
—Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers and contractors
—General Security Clearance and Nuclear Security Clearance for unescorted access (including successful completion of GAT and nuclear security screening)
—Willingness to submit to alcohol/drug screening, criminal history check, psychological assessment, and background investigation
