Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related technical field (or equivalent education/experience). Five (5) years' experience in commercial nuclear power with demonstrated project management ability. Ability to pass NRC criminal background check, drug/alcohol screen, and employment testing. Ability to work in hazardous areas with possible radiation exposure within NRC regulatory limits.
About this role
Project Manager for digital and instrumentation & control (I&C) systems at a commercial nuclear power facility. Lead upgrades, replacements, and new installations of critical reactor control and safety systems at Westinghouse's Bridgman, MI location. Long-term contract role requiring nuclear industry experience and ability to work in radiologically controlled areas.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and performance metrics for I&C system modernization initiatives
- Conduct business analyses, feasibility studies, and ROI analyses for proposed digital/I&C upgrades
- Evaluate and recommend technologies and systems needed for regulatory compliance and operational improvements
- Manage radiological control work practices and contamination control program requirements during project execution
- Track, trend, and analyze project data to identify recurring problems and implement corrective actions
- Provide status reports to Senior Management and station leadership on project progress and budget performance
- Participate in Corrective Action Program (CAP) activities and industry planning related to I&C modernization
- Manage project close-out and analyze actual outcomes against ROI goals and project objectives
Preferred qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Location, schedule, and travel
Onsite in Bridgman, MI. Work performed in hazardous areas with potential radiation exposure within NRC limits; requires radiological training and contamination control awareness.
