Electrical Outage Planner (long-term)
About this role
Long-term onsite contract role supporting electrical outage planning at a nuclear facility in Bridgman, MI. Plan and coordinate work packages for electrical maintenance activities, collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and craft teams to ensure compliance with nuclear standards and outage milestones.
Responsibilities
- —Plan work tasks daily using client-approved software (Action Way, Documentum, Maximo) and nuclear procedures
- —Conduct field walk downs to refine work package quality and identify all support tasks (scaffolding, interference removal)
- —Collaborate with peer planners, vendors, craft supervisors, work management, operations, and engineering to resolve work package issues
- —Select materials and make procurement recommendations; submit Engineer Requests for parts equivalencies
- —Review engineering changes and develop Work Breakdown Structures for field work
- —Maintain compliance with codes, standards, vendor recommendations, and AP-930 standards
- —Support and participate in outage schedule rotation to meet outage milestone commitments
Qualifications
- —3 years' experience in nuclear maintenance (mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation and controls)
- —Previous experience using Maximo or related work management program
- —Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- —Written and verbal communication skills
- —Self-starter attitude with willingness to learn
- —Ability to pass criminal background check, drug/alcohol screen, and employment testing
Location
Onsite in Bridgman, MI; long-term contract position; participates in outage schedule rotation
