About this role
Plant Supervisor role at Entergy's Mississippi power generation facility. You will oversee daily operations of boilers, turbine/generators, and auxiliary equipment while managing direct reports. This position requires ensuring safe, efficient plant operation and strict compliance with operational, safety, and NERC standards.
Responsibilities
- —Manage and supervise direct reports, ensuring compliance with established policies and performance standards
- —Provide direct management of Entergy's Safety Process and ensure compliance with Corporate Safety standards
- —Ensure safe isolation, lock-out, and restoration of site equipment
- —Continuously monitor boilers, turbine/generators, and auxiliary equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant operation
- —Manage core processes including Plant Operations Excellence, NERC Standard Compliance, Unit Reliability, Surveillance Testing, Environmental Compliance, and Operator Skills Development
- —Ensure adherence to all unit/equipment operating parameters and start-up/shut-down procedures
- —Assume project management responsibilities as designated
Qualifications
- —High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- —Minimum 3 years of Plant Operations/Power Boiler experience
- —Demonstrated supervisory leadership qualities
- —In-depth knowledge of power plant systems and unit operating practices at Operating Technician proficiency level
- —Knowledge of unit cycle chemistry, requirements, and corrective actions
Desired
- —8-10 years of Plant Operations/Power Boiler experience
- —3-5 years of control board operator experience
- —Supercritical unit operating experience
Location
Onsite in Greenville, Mississippi; up to 25% travel required; available for additional hours and alternate locations during storms, outages, and emergencies
