NDE Engineer
About this role
Develop and qualify mechanized ultrasonic testing (UT) techniques and systems for nuclear applications at Westinghouse. Work at the interface of development, technical qualification, and field implementation, supporting both internal teams and external customers. This role is based in Mannheim, Germany with hybrid flexibility.
Responsibilities
- —Develop, enhance, and qualify mechanized ultrasonic testing (UT) techniques and systems
- —Prepare technical justifications, specifications, and procedures aligned with applicable standards (ASME, EN, etc.)
- —Perform data analysis and document inspection results from laboratory and field work
- —Deliver training for internal and external personnel on UT methods and systems
- —Support proposal activities, including feasibility assessments and concept development
- —Collaborate across interdisciplinary and international teams
Qualifications
- —Degree in engineering (materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, or equivalent)
- —ISO 9712 Level 3 certification in ultrasonic testing (UT)
- —Proven experience with mechanized UT and qualification processes
- —3+ years of experience in training or knowledge transfer
- —Structured, independent working style with strong team orientation
- —Fluent in English and German
