About this role
Senior Maintenance Planner at Entergy's nuclear and multi-fuel power generation facilities. Develop and manage maintenance work requests from planning through scheduling, coordinate contractors, control inventory, and support reliable plant operations. This is a key planning role supporting nuclear and coal assets with direct responsibility for work execution strategy and resource management.
Responsibilities
- —Develop assigned work requests from 'Planning Required' to 'Ready to Schedule' status in AIMM, including assessment of corrective actions, safety requirements, environmental considerations, parts needs, and special support
- —Develop contractor scopes of work and generate contract requisitions to support maintenance planning and execution
- —Assure availability of maintenance parts and coordinate with stores on materials planning
- —Estimate time required to complete tasks and optimize staging and kitting for worker efficiency
- —Order all needed materials for work requests and plant support needs
- —Participate in weekly schedule development meetings and manage backlog of work orders
- —Update equipment and assessment documents upon work completion and close out contracts
- —Interface with Process Owners to develop maintenance strategies and preventive maintenance tasks that improve reliability or reduce costs
- —Manage plant vehicles and maintain inventory in compliance with SOX policies
- —Manage and control credit card use and reconciliation per company policy
- —Participate in outage planning and implementation
- —Conduct contractor safety orientations and oversee contractor activities
- —Provide contract administration when assigned
- —Participate in accrual and budget development processes
- —Be fully engaged in Plant Safety Committee
Qualifications
- —High school diploma or equivalent work experience
- —At least 10 years of power plant experience
- —Practical working knowledge of maintenance techniques of plant systems and components
- —Excellent Passport and AIMM skills
- —Experience in inventory control and management
- —Knowledge of CBO and RMP core processes
- —Good knowledge of Internet for researching parts, vendors, and suppliers
- —Experience coordinating and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- —Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired
- —Planning experience in power generation or nuclear facilities
Location
Onsite in Orange, Texas; up to 25% travel
