Environmental Analyst I-Sr.
About this role
Environmental Analyst position at Entergy (levels I–Senior depending on experience) supporting nuclear and conventional power generation facilities. Responsible for developing and implementing environmental compliance processes, guiding operations personnel on regulatory requirements, conducting site assessments, managing ecological impact evaluations, and interfacing with state/federal regulatory agencies on permitting and emissions compliance.
Responsibilities
- —Provide oversight to vendors conducting ecological impact evaluations for construction projects, including permit acquisition (air, water, storm water, wetlands, natural resources, local/county), agency correspondence, work plan development, and site inspections
- —Ensure all environmental requirements are met during new generation unit commissioning and operational readiness reviews
- —Support due diligence investigations for real estate transactions
- —Interface with regulatory agencies to ensure proper permitting and maintain compliance
- —Monitor environmental laws and regulations for changes impacting Entergy operations and develop compliance strategies
- —Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on environmental issues and maintain familiarity with site-specific permits and plans
- —Communicate issues through presentations and written reports; negotiate with state/federal agencies on the company's behalf
- —Participate in Environmental system outage emergency operations for major storm events and manage emergency environmental permitting
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, chemistry, engineering, or other science-related field from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience
- —Environmental Analyst I: 0+ years of experience handling environmental compliance activities
- —Environmental Analyst II: 2+ years of experience handling environmental compliance activities
- —Environmental Analyst III: 4+ years of experience handling environmental compliance activities
- —Senior Analyst: 6+ years of experience handling environmental compliance activities
- —Physically able to conduct field environmental investigations at restricted-access sites
- —Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- —Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work tasks simultaneously
- —Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
- —Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- —Self-starter requiring little supervision
- —Ability to work effectively in team settings and on multiple assignments

Location
Hybrid; up to 25% travel; locations in Texas (The Woodlands), Arkansas (Little Rock), Louisiana (New Orleans), or Mississippi (Jackson)
