Valves Testing Engineer
About this role
Valves Testing Engineer with Westinghouse's Testing Services team, based in Madrid. You'll perform maintenance, testing, and inspection of containment systems and motor-operated valves at nuclear facilities across Spain and internationally. Role combines hands-on technical work with project management development, including test supervision, technical documentation, equipment calibration, and R&D contributions.
Responsibilities
- —Perform and supervise maintenance, inspection, and testing activities on containment systems and motor-operated valves at client nuclear facilities and headquarters
- —Develop and write technical reports, procedures, quality documentation, and maintenance manuals
- —Analyze test results, perform calculations, and propose improvements to equipment performance
- —Manage testing equipment including maintenance, calibration, and routine verification checks
- —Prepare technical tenders and proposals; attend internal and external audits
- —Implement improvements and contribute to R&D initiatives; participate in technology surveillance and training activities
- —Progress to project management: organize personnel, manage schedules, customer dialogue, and lead plant-based activities
Qualifications
- —Engineering degree (mechanical or electrical preferred; electronics or instrumentation accepted)
- —Fluent Spanish and English (minimum B2 level)
- —Availability to travel to client nuclear facilities nationally and internationally for outage projects
- —Strong technical foundation with aptitude for multi-tasking and priority management
- —Teamwork orientation and flexibility in project-driven environment
Desired
- —Previous technical experience in industrial and nuclear energy fields
Location
Madrid headquarters with regular travel to nuclear and industrial facilities in Spain and internationally (Belgium, Slovenia, Mexico, South Africa, etc.). Hybrid work model with high flexibility.
