Electrical Engineer II
About this role
Electrical Engineer II at Westinghouse providing engineering design and analysis for nuclear power plant electrical systems, instrumentation and controls, and system wiring. You'll develop technical evaluations, design documents, and procurement specifications while supporting operating nuclear facilities.
Responsibilities
- —Provide engineering design and analysis for nuclear products and projects, including electrical system design, instrumentation and controls designs, and system wiring
- —Develop engineering design documents including technical evaluations, obsolete parts equivalencies, calculations, and specifications to support operating plants
- —Use software packages such as ETAP, Mathcad, and Maximo for design and analysis work
- —Develop procurement specifications for electrical commodities and review vendor proposals
- —Collaborate with internal departments and client/site personnel to resolve project issues
- —Plan and schedule work to meet assignment requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering; 3+ years of experience in power plant systems; knowledge of power plant equipment; experience developing and reviewing electrical procurement specifications
