- Must pass criminal background check, drug/alcohol screening, and employment testing
About this role
Long-term contract Test Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation & Controls) role with Westinghouse supporting nuclear projects at the Bridgman, MI facility. Develop and execute test plans, manage testing activities across project phases, and provide electrical/I&C expertise to ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards and engineering change requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop test plans, Project Department Test Procedures, and testing documents aligned with Engineering Change requirements and electrical testing standards
- Collaborate with Responsible Engineers to prepare deliverables including Requirements Traceability Matrix, Component Selection Plans, and Testing Readiness Presentations
- Oversee scheduled testing activities (logic, duration, resources) for all project phases and manage updates within plant outage and P6 schedule
- Provide subject matter expertise in controls/electrical topics to project stakeholders and lead technical coordination
- Develop plans and processes for specialty testing; participate in Factory Acceptance Testing and evaluate vendor compliance with project requirements
- Identify necessary project resources and collaborate with project managers to secure specialty test equipment and support
Preferred qualifications
- Obtain Test Engineer qualifications within 4 months of hire date
Location, schedule, and travel
Onsite in Bridgman, MI; long-term contract position with required travel to vendor facilities
