About this role
Contract/contract-to-hire System Test Engineer role at Westinghouse's Warrendale facility. You will perform integrated testing and validation of Safety Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Systems for commercial nuclear power plants, verifying systems meet NRC technical and regulatory requirements through system-level and functional testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform integrated testing activities on Safety I&C Systems for commercial nuclear plant equipment
- Develop test procedures, test reports, and requirements traceability matrices to verify and validate I&C systems with appropriate test coverage
- Develop and improve test methods, systems, and tools related to testing, system verification, validation, and quality assurance
- Develop safety test documentation based on functional, design, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to ensure integration of the I&C system
- Identify and troubleshoot hardware, design, and software issues on integrated I&C systems
- Implement testing based on system functional and design requirement specifications to meet project schedules
- Work towards obtaining QA 2.9 certification to support I&C projects and integration testing
Preferred qualifications
Knowledge of LabView, C++, Java, Python, and embedded software.
