System Engineer

Design, integrate, and document Plant Process Computer Systems for nuclear power plants. This role involves hardware design review, system architecture, custom adapter/cabling design, and cabinet layout—supporting Westinghouse's clean energy mission with hands-on engineering work.

Perform review of hardware design, system architecture, network layout, cabinet design, system cabling interface, custom panel and kit design, and cabinet power design

Review data acquisition designs including interface cabling and custom adapter designs

Learn and understand component selection to meet system needs and contract deliverables

Participate in set-up, system modification, system integration and testing, and delivery of projects

Understand and implement quality standards applicable to nuclear safety systems

Prepare documentation required by customers to maintain the system after delivery

Travel and work with local customers as needed

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 5 years of applicable experience in drawing review, design, and systems

Knowledge of Data Acquisition systems consisting of servers, workstations, controllers, I/O modules or boards

Experience with AutoCAD and 3D modeling

Experience with drawing review

Experience with Cisco switches

Experience with servers and workstations

Entry level knowledge of circuit designs to support custom cables and interfaces

Experience with RTP data acquisition systems or other comparable systems

Onsite in Huntsville, AL; willing to travel to work with local customers.
