Supervisor Maintenance
About this role
Supervisor Maintenance role at Constellation Energy, the nation's largest producer of clean energy. You'll directly oversee maintenance craft personnel at a nuclear Clean Energy Center, ensuring safe and efficient operations in strict compliance with NRC regulations, technical specifications, and company policies. This is a hands-on supervisory position requiring strong leadership and deep nuclear maintenance expertise.
Responsibilities
- —Supervise craft personnel to ensure all assigned maintenance activities are performed safely and effectively in accordance with CEC procedures, NRC regulations, and schedules
- —Ensure department personnel are properly supervised, trained, and qualified to perform assignments, including emergency plan qualifications
- —Administer coaching, mentoring, and performance management for assigned employees, including disciplinary action when needed
- —Communicate significant CEC and personnel issues to Maintenance Manager and applicable management levels
- —Foster open communication and collaboration between internal and external organizations, including INPO and regulatory agencies
- —Communicate company programs, announcements, and policies to assigned employees and provide feedback to the company
- —Participate in work control coordination, scheduling, and engineering meetings for online and refuel outage activities
- —Understand, support, and administer Maintenance processes including training programs, surveillance programs, procedure revisions, and Corrective Action Program (CAP)
- —Identify and support improvement opportunities
- —Supervise vendor inspections and equipment repairs
- —Ensure effective procurement and use of materials, parts, tools, equipment, and Maintenance and Technical (M&TE)
- —Participate in all aspects of Maintenance Department management to support safe and efficient CEC operations
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage activities as directed
Qualifications
- —High school diploma or GED and 6 years of related experience, OR Associate's degree in a technical discipline with 4 years of related experience, OR Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 2 years of related experience
- —Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Fluent use of electronic work management system, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- —Minimum 3 years of experience in nuclear power plant operations
Location
Onsite at Clean Energy Center; participates in emergency response and outage activities including call-outs
