About this role

Supervise and manage all Reactor Maintenance operations at Oconee Nuclear Station (Duke Energy, 3-unit PWR), including on-line, refueling, and ISFSI activities. This leadership role directs the Site Refuel Services Unit, overseeing equipment maintenance, personnel readiness, safety standards, outage planning, and compliance with NRC and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop on-line, ISFSI, and refueling Reactor Maintenance operations and outage work scopes; implement fleet strategy and coordinate outage/pre-outage schedules
  • Provide directive control and oversight of site project scope development and Reactor Maintenance team meetings
  • Supervise and coordinate reactor/refueling equipment maintenance and personnel readiness for outage, on-line, and ISFSI activities; manage equipment reliability and resolve technical problems
  • Guide station personnel, shared resources, and contractors to ensure work quality and equipment reliability
  • Develop repair solutions, coordinate budget activities, and oversee supplemental resource requirements including contractor support
  • Supervise qualification and training of Reactor Maintenance team members; ensure qualifications remain current and administer internal/external training courses
  • Maintain highest standards for human performance, safety, and CORE 4 values; ensure all work meets company and site safety standards
  • Facilitate standardization of procedures across sites and maintain corporate NGG procedure ownership
  • Identify and implement industry best practices to improve Reactor Maintenance performance and effectiveness

Preferred qualifications

3–5 years Reactor Maintenance, Fuel, or ISFSI experience; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to coordinate multiple complex tasks; demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and motivate team members; commitment to personnel safety and teamwork; professionalism with internal and external stakeholders

Onsite at Oconee Nuclear Station, North Carolina; 5–15% travel required; relocation assistance provided
