About this role
Lead a team of 13–15 hardware engineers at Westinghouse's Huntsville, AL facility, supporting the design, manufacturing, and test of instrumentation and control (I&C) assemblies for nuclear plant computer and annunciator systems. Report to Sr. Manager of Control & Information System Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Manage performance, hiring, training, and development of 13–15 direct reports
- Establish and maintain a safety and quality-focused team culture
- Evaluate project resource demands and develop sustainable hiring plans
- Interface with production supervisors to align engineering and manufacturing operations
- Ensure design and manufacturing process consistency across I&C hardware products (plant computer/annunciator systems)
- Lead product and process improvement initiatives and cost savings plans
- Drive on-time closure of customer issues and corrective actions
- Develop cost estimates for new projects
- Collaborate across internal organizations to resolve emergent customer issues
