Responsibilities
- Perform engineering evaluations and finite element analysis (FEA) calculations in ANSYS to verify nuclear power plant components against applicable standards
- Execute hand calculations and stress analysis for fatigue and fracture mechanics assessments of mechanical components
- Document technical analyses and propose integrated solutions to structural mechanics challenges
- Provide direct engineering support to plant teams with potential international travel
- Participate in international project teams and communicate with stakeholders on seismic qualification and component replacement projects
- Progress toward technical leadership or project management roles based on performance
