About this role

Westinghouse Global Engineering Services seeks a Structural Analysis Engineer for our Västerås office to perform advanced FEM analyses and structural verifications of nuclear components, fuel assemblies, reactor internals, and field service tools. Work within a team of seven experienced engineers in a hybrid setting, applying ASME BPVC, Eurocode, and EN13001 standards to nuclear product development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced FEM analyses using ANSYS Mechanical for nuclear components and products
  • Conduct structural verifications against ASME BPVC, Eurocode, and EN13001 standards
  • Analyze diverse nuclear components including fuel assemblies, reactor internals, and field service tools
  • Participate in product development initiatives and verification testing to acquire analysis input data
  • Write technical reports documenting analysis findings and engineering conclusions
  • Collaborate with project managers and Safety Analysis Engineers in project-based teams

Qualifications

Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent; knowledge of advanced FEM simulations; full professional proficiency in English; precision and thoroughness in executing engineering tasks.

Desired

Professional experience as an engineer; proficiency in Swedish.
