SRO - Nuclear Operations
About this role
Contract role supporting Westinghouse nuclear operations. You will develop and validate operating procedures (EOPs, NOPs, AOPs) for PWR fleets (AP1000, AP300 SMR, eVinci micro reactor) worldwide. Requires former SRO license and deep PWR systems knowledge to author control room procedures, validate simulator scenarios, and support new plant commissioning from pre-op through startup.
Responsibilities
- —Apply Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) knowledge across new plant designs and operating PWR fleet including AP1000
- —Develop and update control room operating procedures for normal, abnormal, and emergency conditions
- —Validate multiple scenarios in control room simulators before training reactor operators and implementing in plants worldwide
- —Develop test procedures supporting commissioning of new plants (AP1000) from pre-op testing through startup phases
- —Develop plant operation and operating procedures for Westinghouse eVinci Micro Reactor and AP300 SMR designs
- —Work with customers and internal teams to develop NOPs, AOPs, EOPs, and FSGs for operating fleet and AP1000
- —Collaborate with new plant designers and licensed reactor operators to define safe and efficient nuclear plant operations
- —Support commissioning of new plants worldwide as an author of operating and test procedures
Qualifications
- —10+ years experience as licensed Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator at a Commercial Nuclear Power Plant (PWR), OR experience as qualified SRO Instructor
- —Held Senior Reactor Operator License for Power Reactor in past 5 years OR been active Operating Procedure Writer for Power Reactor in past 5 years
- —Detailed knowledge of PWR operation, systems, components, and procedures
- —U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident status required

Westinghouse World Headquarters, Cranberry Twp, PA; remote candidates considered. Contract position.
