Required qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent plus minimum 1 year as an Active Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator at a commercial power reactor facility of the same vendor and vintage; OR 1.5 years at a comparable BWR/PWR facility; OR 2 years in a military reactor operator position (qualified to manipulate or direct manipulation of control rods). Alternatively, BS degree in engineering, engineering technology, or related sciences (or professional engineering license) with: 18 months responsible nuclear power plant experience for comparable facility, 27 months for noncomparable facility, or 36 months for nontraditional degree. Must demonstrate satisfactory physical and mental condition per 10 CFR 55.11(a)(1) and (a)(2), complete entry selection test, meet ANSI/ANS 3.1-2014 requirements for Senior Reactor Operator and REG Guide 1.8, and earn and maintain SRO license for Susquehanna Nuclear Generating Station.

Candidates must complete the station's Licensed Operator Training Program and earn their SRO license within the specified timeline.
Responsibilities
- Monitor plant operation and licensed operator performance; respond to system or unit abnormalities by diagnosing causes and recommending corrective actions
- Authorize performance of maintenance activities on assigned unit and approve changes in equipment and system operational status
- Direct actions of Plant Control Operators in emergency situations in accordance with emergency operating procedures
- Supervise and coordinate fuel handling activities; oversee local operation of plant equipment and activities outside the Control Room when performing Field Supervisor role
- Assume Shift Manager responsibilities when unavailable; direct manipulation of unit controls
- Review procedures related to startup, shutdown, power operation, load changes, fuel handling, emergency situations, and surveillance activities
- Participate in operator training, retraining, and requalification activities; provide leadership by conveying organizational values and motivating individuals toward goal achievement

Four (4) years of power plant experience
Location, schedule, and travel
Onsite at Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, Berwick, Pennsylvania; shift work required.
