Sr Supplier Performance Engineer
About this role
Senior Supplier Performance Engineer at Westinghouse responsible for optimizing supplier performance across nuclear new plant (APX) projects. Manage supplier oversight, performance metrics, quality compliance, and development activities to ensure suppliers meet Westinghouse technical, quality, and contractual requirements. Report to Sr Manager of APX Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
- —Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans across APX Supply Chain work breakdown structures, including critical document submittals, manufacturing activities, surveillance points, inspections, and tests
- —Assist SPE team with Witness and Hold point module management
- —Identify, escalate, and coordinate resolution of supplier issues, risks, and quality events; issue communications and implement corrective actions
- —Monitor supplier performance metrics (On-Time Delivery, Quality issues, Deviation Notices); identify and mitigate negative trends through causal analysis and Supplier Improvement Plans
- —Evaluate procurement risk and develop security of supply risk mitigation strategies
- —Oversee internal and external corrective action requests; perform cause analyses and verify completion of preventative and corrective actions
- —Perform technical evaluations of suppliers to assess manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, and compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and standards (including ASME)
- —Identify capability gaps and establish supplier development plans
- —Support supplier improvement projects and cost reduction initiatives
- —Review and disposition supplier process documents, process capability analyses, and measurement system analyses
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- —4+ years of progressive experience in engineering/manufacturing
- —Knowledge of manufacturing processes: machining, welding, forming, mechanical assembly, NDE, inspection, and testing
- —Experience performing process capability analysis (Cpk) and qualification
- —Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans and PFMEAs
- —Experience leading multiple concurrent projects
- —Experience authoring technical documents or operating procedures
- —Ability to read drawings and specifications made to ASME standards

- —Experience with nuclear products and standards
Location
