About this role
Lead a global, multidisciplinary hardware engineering organization within Westinghouse's Instrumentation & Control division. Direct the design, execution, and delivery of safety and non-safety hardware systems for Operating Plant and AP1000/AP300 programs. Manage 25+ engineers across distributed teams, including WEC Spain, with strategic oversight of Safety System Hardware, Main Control Room (MCR) Hardware, and GIC Mechanical Design.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage 25+ FTEs across multidisciplinary hardware engineering organization with global resources
- Develop leadership capability through Lead Engineers and Supervisors while fostering a safety-focused culture
- Execute workforce planning and hiring strategies to support accelerating business growth
- Oversee Safety System Hardware, Main Control Room (MCR) Hardware, and GIC Mechanical Design teams
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to safety and quality standards per NRC and industry requirements
- Drive alignment, prioritization, and execution across global I&C projects and programs (OPX/APX, B&P initiatives)
- Lead hardware design efforts for Common Q, MCR, and mechanical systems for AP1000/AP300 programs
- Establish and implement global design and manufacturing standards for safety and non-safety hardware
- Coordinate and expand global drafting and engineering support resources, including WEC Spain
- Ensure technical readiness and development of subject matter experts (SMEs)
- Maintain performance against schedule, cost, and quality objectives
