Sr Dry Cask Storage Specialist
About this role
Senior Dry Cask Storage Specialist supporting Constellation's fleet-wide Reactor Services Organization. Plan and execute spent fuel loading campaigns across multiple nuclear facilities, ensuring compliance with Technical Specifications, safety, and operational excellence. Drive fleet-wide DCS program governance, ALARA implementation, and continuous improvement across cask storage operations.
Responsibilities
- —Plan and execute dry cask storage (DCS) loading campaigns across Constellation fleet locations, developing detailed plans, schedules, and procedures for spent fuel operations
- —Ensure governance and oversight of DCS program processes and compliance with Technical Specifications; oversee station DCS loading plans and schedules for proper execution
- —Implement ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) practices throughout campaigns; assess DCS program implementation and conduct observations during campaign execution
- —Review fleet-wide DCS lessons learned and industry operating experience (OPEX); attend industry meetings including Holtec Users Group, Transnuclear Users Group, and NEI Spent Fuel Working Group
- —Drive continuous improvement by reviewing vendor performance trends and corrective actions; support DCS Managers with peer team and business plan initiatives
- —Support outage activities and other assignments as directed by management
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) or technical discipline (chemistry, construction, computer science, mathematics, or physics) with 5 years industry experience OR 3 years DCS/Reactor Services experience. Alternatively: Current/previous Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license with 5 years industry experience or 3 years DCS/Reactor Services experience; OR Associate's degree in business or technical discipline with 7 years industry experience or 5 years DCS/Reactor Services experience; OR High school diploma/GED with 9 years industry experience or 7 years DCS/Reactor Services experience. Must maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access and pass favorable medical examination/testing per position duties.

SRO License and SRO Certification 72.48; Screening/Evaluator qualifications; Design engineering qualifications; Fuel handling qualifications and experience; Lifting and rigging experience; Master Rigger qualification; Work planning qualifications; Procedure revision experience; Contract management and/or invoicing experience; Supervisory qualifications and experience; P6 scheduling experience; Operation/maintenance of heavy lifting machinery (cask transporter, cranes, forklifts); Welding experience (TIG preferred)
Location
0–25% travel to other Constellation Clean Energy Centers; onsite at various fleet locations
