Cybersecurity & OT Analyst / Senior Cybersecurity & OT Analyst (Digital Process Systems) - Harris Nuclear Plant
About this role
Cybersecurity and Operational Technology (OT) specialist role supporting Harris Nuclear Plant's Digital Process Systems team. You will manage cybersecurity and OT infrastructure for nuclear site process computers, control systems, and security platforms, working independently on critical safety systems with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- —Perform day-to-day maintenance, patching, upgrades, and support of operational technology and cybersecurity programs
- —Assess and respond to complex operational technology and cyber security events and incidents
- —Lead or support large, complex, or multiple smaller cyber security projects
- —Provide technical expertise in identification, analysis, and resolution of problems for digital control and data acquisition systems
- —Troubleshoot and repair plant digital systems including ERFIS, DVP/DCS, SIEM, Plant Process Network, and OSI/PI systems; manage vulnerability patching and backups
- —Provide troubleshooting and maintenance support for ERFIS MUX and Security MUX issues
- —Support Plant Operations staff on digital system issues
- —Coordinate with vendors on hardware/software issues
- —Perform Cyber and DPS reviews for Engineering Change development
- —Provide inputs to budgets and long-range plans
- —Complete non-routine technical projects independently with minimal oversight
- —Support cyber-attack mitigation and incident response
- —Serve as member of HNP Cyber Security Assessment Team (CSAT)
- —Physically and logically harden CDAs and networks to reduce cyber vulnerabilities
- —Plan and execute work orders through established work management systems
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related technical discipline plus 2 years related work experience (Analyst level) OR 5 years related work experience (Senior level). Alternatively: High School/GED plus 6 years direct related experience (Analyst level) OR 9 years direct related experience (Senior level).

- —Experience with multiple digital technologies and platforms: Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP/IP, switches, routers, firewalls
- —Experience with operating systems: Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2019, Windows XP, 7, 10, QNX, Linux
- —Knowledge of PI Vision and OSI/PI historian systems
- —Demonstrated knowledge of real-time, data acquisition, and control systems including hardware, software, and interfaces
- —Previous nuclear station work experience with Plant Monitoring System, Plant Security Computer, and Cyber Security Defensive Architecture
- —Ability to read plant drawings including Control Wiring Diagrams, one-line diagrams, and logic diagrams
- —Previous nuclear cyber security experience and familiarity with NEI guidance
- —Experience performing cyber security reviews for Plant Engineering Changes
- —Experience performing cyber security threat and vulnerability evaluations
- —Hold or ability to obtain Duke Energy Cyber Security Assessment Team qualification
- —Ability to mentor others on cyber security qualifications (CSS, CSAT, etc.)
- —Hold or ability to obtain Duke Energy Cyber Security Incident Response Team Lead certification
- —Demonstrated ability to work on assigned projects with minimal supervision
