About this role

Project Manager I or II responsible for managing nuclear switchyard execution projects ($1M–$100M) at Duke Energy's Oconee, Catawba, and McGuire nuclear facilities. Lead cross-functional teams across Transmission and Generation divisions, managing scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and communications with strong project controls and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of project planning and execution, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration success factors are met
  • Serve as unifying agent providing leadership, management, direction, coordination, and control of overall project per established company policies and procedures
  • Plan, monitor, control, and deliver project outcomes with focus on cost and schedule management
  • Lead project teams, build alignment across Transmission and Generation teams, and drive accountability
  • Establish and continuously update project schedules and cash flows
  • Manage project priorities, stakeholders, and deliverables while responding to changes and complexity
  • Develop detailed knowledge of switchyard interface points, operating guidelines, and nuclear planning/implementation processes
  • Manage relationships and coordinate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Project Controls, Construction Management, and Regulatory & Compliance

Location, schedule, and travel

Oconee, Catawba, and McGuire nuclear facilities (North Carolina). 5–15% travel required; work location (in person, hybrid, or remote) to be determined by hiring organization.
