About this role
Special Tests Engineer role within Westinghouse Field Services, executing and supervising HVAC system testing, leak detection, and containment integrity (ILRT) tests at Spanish nuclear power plants and international projects under NRC and nuclear safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Execute and supervise HVAC system testing activities including habitability tests, leak detection, functional tests, and containment integrity (ILRT) tests
- Prepare, calibrate, and maintain test equipment and instruments per nuclear quality standards
- Develop technical procedures, reports, and quality documentation for nuclear facility compliance
- Monitor technical and economic performance of assigned nuclear contracts
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in nuclear and international operating environments
- Qualify and serve as Test Supervisor for nuclear facility operations
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of HVAC refrigeration and climatization systems in nuclear applications
- Instrumentation expertise and calibration experience
- Experience in equipment design, manufacturing, or maintenance
- Previous hands-on experience at nuclear power plants
- Proficiency with technical procedures and quality documentation systems
Location, schedule, and travel
Spain-based with national and international travel required; assignments include Spanish nuclear plants and international projects.
