Snubbers Technician
About this role
Westinghouse Field Services seeks a Snubbers Technician for the Supports and Snubbers team within Reactor Services. Execute technical testing, inspections, and maintenance of hydraulic and mechanical snubbers and supports in Spanish nuclear plants, working in both conventional and radiological zones to the highest quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- —Execute functional tests on springs and snubbers
- —Perform visual inspections of springs and snubbers
- —Maintain hydraulic and mechanical snubbers
- —Prepare and calibrate testing equipment and systems
- —Calibrate and maintain instruments
- —Develop procedures, technical reports, and quality dossiers
- —Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in industrial and nuclear environments
Qualifications
- —Vocational training (FP) in mechanical, electrical, electronics, or industrial maintenance
- —English level B1 or higher
- —Office software proficiency
- —Availability for national and international travel
- —Professional exposure to ionizing radiation
- —Proactive, flexible, and autonomous; strong team player with ability to meet deadlines
Desired
- —Knowledge of nuclear power plant systems
- —Certifications in NDT (Non-Destructive Testing)
- —Instrumentation knowledge
- —Experience in design, fabrication, or maintenance of equipment
- —Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and isometric drawings
- —Previous experience in nuclear plants or industrial environments
Location
Spanish nuclear facilities; national and international travel required; work in both conventional and radiological zones.
