Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline; 12 years of progressively responsible engineering and/or leadership experience; knowledge of engineering principles and practices applicable to nuclear systems; established leadership competency and management experience; ability to gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make sound technical decisions.
About this role
Senior Manager leading Westinghouse's Reactor Vessel Internals (RVI) Replacement Engineering group. Oversee design and analysis of major reactor vessel modifications, provide technical leadership during outage operations at operating plants, and manage a team of nuclear engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage engineering team including performance management, career development, and hiring
- Manage work planning, prioritization, and resource allocation across departments for multiple projects
- Ensure high-quality delivery of engineering work products according to internal quality processes and NRC/industry standards
- Provide management-level technical oversight for design and analysis of reactor vessel internals modifications and replacements
- Mentor team members to improve overall nuclear engineering capability and technical proficiency
- Promote continuous improvement, collaboration, and a safety and quality culture
- Coordinate response to emergent customer issues within area of responsibility
Location, schedule, and travel
Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; hybrid with 2 days per week onsite
