About this role

Lead technical efforts in the design and implementation of safety-related Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems at Westinghouse. Develop functional logic diagrams, conduct reliability analyses, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with NRC standards and nuclear industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review Functional Logic Diagrams and Design Specifications for safety-related I&C systems
  • Perform reliability analyses using tools such as Reliability Workbench
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex nuclear system issues
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and technical risk assessments
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on I&C design and implementation
  • Prepare and present detailed technical reports for internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Systems, or Nuclear Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in I&C systems or safety-critical systems design
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and Python
  • Proficiency in reliability analysis tools

Desired

  • Familiarity with NRC regulatory requirements (10 CFR 50, design criteria)
  • Experience with nuclear power plant I&C modernization projects
