Required qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical/Automation Engineering or similar field; 4+ years of progressive experience in Engineering/Manufacturing; Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, forming, molding, mechanical assembly, testing and inspection; Experience with Instrumentation & Control Systems such as electromechanical components, printed circuit boards, cable assemblies, electrical cabinets, sensors; Experience performing Problem Solving activities and Process Standardization plans; Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans; Experience performing Supplier Evaluation/Qualification; Project Management experience leading multiple concurrent cross-functional projects; Familiarity with IPC / IEEE / ASME standards; Proficiency in Microsoft Project and PowerPoint

About this role

Senior Supplier Performance Engineer at Westinghouse supporting fabrication and supply chain oversight of electro-mechanical components for nuclear instrumentation and control (I&C) systems. Ensure supplier compliance with Westinghouse technical and quality requirements across manufacturing, testing, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site and remote supplier oversight activities to ensure Westinghouse technical and quality requirements are achieved
  • Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans to drive on-time completion of critical document submittals, manufacturing activities, and inspections
  • Identify and escalate significant supplier issues and risks, coordinate resolution with internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor key supplier performance metrics (On-Time Delivery, Quality issues, Deviation Notices) and implement Causal Analysis, Corrective & Preventive Actions, and Supplier Improvement Plans
  • Evaluate procurement risk and develop Security of Supply Risk Mitigation Plans
  • Provide regular progress reports to Business Unit Stakeholders and SPE Leadership team
  • Perform Technical Evaluations of new and existing suppliers to assess manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead Supplier Development, Qualification activities, and Cost Reduction efforts

Preferred qualifications

IPC and/or NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Certifications; Welding (AWS) and/or NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Certifications; Experience with nuclear products and standards

Location, schedule, and travel

Bulgaria, up to 30% travel domestically and internationally, hybrid work (2 days/week in office, flexible hours)
