Required qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical/Automation Engineering or similar field; 4+ years progressive experience in Engineering or Manufacturing; Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, forming, molding, mechanical assembly, testing, inspection); Knowledge of Instrumentation & Control Systems including electromechanical components, printed circuit boards, cable assemblies, electrical cabinets, and sensors; Experience with Problem Solving activities and Process Standardization programs; Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans; Experience performing Supplier Evaluation and Qualification; Project Management experience leading multiple concurrent projects; Familiarity with IPC, IEEE, and ASME standards

About this role

Senior Supplier Performance Engineer at Westinghouse overseeing fabrication of electro-mechanical components for nuclear applications at supplier facilities. Manage vendor compliance, supplier performance metrics, and development activities to ensure alignment with Westinghouse technical and quality standards for nuclear-grade components.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site and remote supplier oversight to ensure Westinghouse technical and quality requirements are met
  • Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans covering document submittals, manufacturing activities, surveillance points, inspections, and tests
  • Identify and escalate supplier issues, coordinate resolution, and ensure accountability for corrective actions
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics (On-Time Delivery, Quality issues, Deviation Notices) and identify negative trends
  • Implement Causal Analysis, Corrective & Preventive Actions, and Supplier Improvement Plans
  • Evaluate procurement risk and develop Security of Supply Risk Mitigation Plans
  • Perform Technical Evaluations of suppliers assessing manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, and regulatory compliance
  • Identify capability gaps and establish Development Plans to align supplier capabilities with Westinghouse nuclear standards
  • Lead Supplier Development, Qualification activities, and Cost Reduction efforts
  • Provide regular progress reports to Business Unit Partners and SPE Leadership

Preferred qualifications

IPC or NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Certifications; Welding (AWS) or NDT Certifications; Experience with nuclear products and standards

Location, schedule, and travel

Hybrid position based in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Spain; 30% travel (national and international)
