Senior Supplier Performance Engineer
About this role
Lead supplier oversight for fabrication of structural and mechanical components (AP1000 reactors) at supplier facilities. Ensure vendor compliance with nuclear and ASME requirements, coordinate cross-functional oversight activities, and drive performance improvements across the supply chain through corrective action implementation and metrics monitoring.
Responsibilities
- —Accomplish Supplier Oversight Plans: lead critical document submittals, manufacturing activities, witness/hold points, inspections, and functional tests
- —Ensure vendor compliance with critical requirements and coordinate activities across Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and Supplier Quality Oversight functions
- —Identify, escalate, and coordinate resolution of supplier issues, risks, and quality events; issue communications and identify partners for product impact assessment
- —Monitor supplier performance metrics (On-Time Delivery, Quality issues, Deviation Notices); implement causal analysis, corrective actions, and Supplier Improvement Plans
- —Manage internal and external corrective action requests; perform root cause analyses and verify completion of preventative and corrective actions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, welding, or manufacturing disciplines. 4+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, or fabrication. Experience with ASME Section VIII pressure vessel and heat exchanger design/fabrication. Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, forming, assembly, NDE, inspection, testing). Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans. Ability to read ASME-standard drawings and specifications.
Desired
Experience in Power Generation or Nuclear Industries. Experience in Oil & Gas, Pipelines, Refineries, Offshore Oil Production, Shipbuilding, or Manufacturing Plants.
Location
Hybrid with remote option within the US; 20% travel required; frequent onsite visits to Etna and Cranberry Township, PA headquarters.
