Senior Project Manager
About this role
Senior Project Manager at Westinghouse overseeing medium-complexity projects (<$10M) for the Digital Optimization Solutions team. Manage SaaS, AI, and plant engineering solutions implementations at operating nuclear plants. Lead cross-functional teams of 5–20 members reporting to Manager of Projects, Digital Technology.
Responsibilities
- —Manage all project management processes including scope, schedule, cost baselines, and Earned Value Management reporting across proposal, initiation, and execution phases
- —Lead medium-sized teams (5–20 members) across matrix organization, fostering relationships with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders
- —Develop and maintain project plans per Westinghouse Project Management Requirements (WPMR), including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resource, communication, and stakeholder registers
- —Assume responsibility for contract profitability, oversee cost expenditure forecasts, and review expenditures for baseline and scope compliance
- —Interpret contract requirements and changes; coordinate communications to inform team, customers, and stakeholders of project status
- —Manage project records in standard databases and systems; close projects and archive work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems
- —Perform final quality assessments, identify lessons learned, and implement improvement/recovery opportunities to ensure successful delivery
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline. 3+ years of project management experience or equivalent technical field experience. Familiarity with PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge. Broad knowledge of nuclear power plants and experience with software implementation or software maintenance. Knowledge of utility business practices including plant operations, maintenance, and engineering. Proficiency in project scope definition, scheduling, and cost management.
Desired
Willingness to pursue PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or other approved equivalent project management certification.
Location
Hybrid role based in Cranberry Township, PA. Salary: $85,200–$106,500/year dependent on experience and qualifications.
