Senior Procurement Project Engineer
About this role
Senior Procurement Project Engineer overseeing all procurement activities for AP1000 nuclear reactor projects at Westinghouse. Manage pre-PO and post-PO procurement tasks, supplier selection, quality assurance, and vendor oversight to ensure on-time delivery of safety-critical components within budget and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- —Oversee all procurement activities for AP1000 Projects including pre-PO and post-PO tasks
- —Improve supplier identification and down selection through technical evaluations
- —Guide completion of supplier audits and support NDA/PIA negotiations
- —Lead Request for Quotation (RFQ) package creation with technical and quality requirements
- —Create manufacturing and process plan estimates for design option selection and cost/schedule validation
- —Complete supplier oversight quality assurance technical witness and hold points
- —Support project management team coordination with supplier quality organizations
- —Report project implementation plans and program readiness status
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering; US Citizen meeting criteria for access to partners' and clients' technologies and compliance with import/export controls.
Desired
Experience in Power Generation, Nuclear Industries, Oil & Gas, Pipelines, Refineries, Offshore Oil Production Platforms, Ship Building, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain management.
