Senior Procurement Engineer
About this role
Lead procurement activities for Westinghouse's Energy Systems division, managing pre- and post-PO processes for large-scale nuclear projects. Approve safety-related requisitions, develop sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and manage supply chain commitments to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of nuclear-qualified components.
Responsibilities
- —Approve safety-related requisitions and support procurement strategy development with Project Teams
- —Identify suppliers, coordinate RFx processes, solicit quotations, and lead negotiations on pricing, delivery, and contract terms
- —Evaluate supplier financial stability, capacity, global presence, and competitive landscape
- —Manage supply and supplier commitments post-PO, including change management and contract administration in SAP
- —Analyze cost elements and entitlement to identify cost improvements and support negotiations
- —Monitor project status, escalate roadblocks, and report implementation plans for program execution
Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Chemical); 4+ years of experience in procurement engineering with structural components
Desired
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification; experience with international sourcing and suppliers for nuclear projects; knowledge of ASME NQA-1 or ASME III standards
Location
Cranberry Township, PA; hybrid; up to 20% travel
