About this role
Senior Mechanical Engineer supporting Westinghouse's Parts Business at the New Stanton facility. Develop technical packages for spare parts and mechanical products serving nuclear plant safety and reliability. Work with Procurement Engineering on equipment qualification, commercial dedication, and engineering support for nuclear-grade mechanical components including pumps, valves, mechanical seals, and motors.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review technical packages including drawings, specifications, and procurement requirements for mechanical products
- Develop and maintain Material Master Data and Parts Baselines in SAP
- Determine critical equipment characteristics and assist in equipment qualification test procedures and evaluation
- Provide technical input during proposal process and prepare Commercial Dedication Instructions
- Work cross-functionally with quality engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and suppliers on product development
Preferred qualifications
Professional Engineering License. Experience with fabrication of ASME code components. SAP knowledge (production, requisitioning, material master data). Experience writing technical requirements for equipment procurement. Familiarity with AP1000 design process.
Location, schedule, and travel
New Stanton, PA — on-site 2–3 days/week; hybrid
