Senior Licensing Engineer
About this role
Senior Licensing Engineer supporting Westinghouse's operating nuclear fleet. Create regulatory documents and licensing submittals for plant modifications, collaborate across engineering teams, and ensure compliance with NRC regulations and industry standards. Directly support US fleet growth through licensing strategy and regulatory engagement.
Responsibilities
- —Create licensing documents (10 CFR 50.59 evaluations, License Amendments, topical reports) for submittal to Westinghouse customers and regulatory agencies
- —Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to develop licensing inputs and support plant modification evaluations
- —Participate in internal, customer, and NRC regulatory meetings to present technical materials and communicate licensing status
- —Evaluate engineering design changes for regulatory requirements and help resolve emergent issues affecting plant licenses
- —Mentor team members on licensing processes and maintain compliance with established scope, budget, and schedule requirements
Qualifications
- —Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or Chemical)
- —4+ years of experience in nuclear licensing
- —Demonstrated expertise in 10 CFR 50.59 evaluations, License Amendments, and topical report development
- —Familiarity with NRC regulations, nuclear industry guidance, technical specifications, and regulatory guides
- —Knowledge of nuclear power plant design, operation, and work processes
- —Established professional networks in the nuclear industry
Location
Hybrid (typically 2 days/week in office) at Cranberry Woods PA, Rock Hill SC, or Columbia SC; less than 10% domestic travel
