Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline; 5+ years of Project Management experience, or 3 years of Project Management experience and 2 years in a technical role
About this role
Lead medium to high complexity instrumentation and controls projects at Westinghouse, managing teams of 16+ members on nuclear I&C system installations and upgrades. Combine project management with technical expertise in nuclear safety-critical control systems, overseeing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and stakeholder communications across Westinghouse's nuclear fleet modernization efforts.
Responsibilities
- Complete all aspects of project planning including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines
- Manage all project dimensions including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders
- Lead teams (average >16 members) on project execution, including those with project controls functions
- Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements and changes to functional groups through integrated change management processes
- Coordinate project communications to keep team, customers, and stakeholders informed of status
- Maintain project databases, systems, and procedures for efficient documentation and correspondence handling
- Author and/or review project procedures and participate in larger complex projects as project manager, supervisor, or individual contributor
- Close projects by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems
- Perform final project quality assessments and report findings
- Develop subject matter expertise in one or more Instrumentation and Control Systems
- Participate in system and field leadership training and prepare/deliver project-specific training for crews
- Lead projects in manner that upholds nuclear safety culture and reinforces Westinghouse policies and procedures
- Cultivate positive relationships with team, customers, and stakeholders to facilitate project completion and identify business growth opportunities
- Apply experience to improve project execution and innovate new tooling and services for continuous improvement
