About this role
Senior Engineer role in Westinghouse's Risk Analysis team performing Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for nuclear power plants. Conduct complex risk evaluations for domestic and international operating plants and new reactor designs, including seismic, fire, flooding, and internal hazard analysis. Lead global project teams, mentor junior engineers, and interface with regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities
Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for complex nuclear power plant systems, evaluating vulnerability to all risk and hazard types (seismic, fire, flooding, internal hazards)
Support assessments for both domestic and international operating plants as well as new reactors in the design phase
Lead and support global project teams in various roles (author, mentor, verifier) while meeting schedule and financial objectives
Present technical topics and interface with global customers and regulatory bodies
Support and identify strategic initiatives, develop product offerings, and pursue target product markets
Mentor early-career engineers on PRA fundamentals
Preferred qualifications
Advanced degree
Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) license
Peer Review experience
Location, schedule, and travel
Remote-based, US position.
