Required qualifications

About this role
Senior Electrical Engineer at Westinghouse designing and analyzing electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls for operating nuclear plants and new nuclear projects. Based in Kitchener, Ontario with hybrid arrangement (2 days/week onsite), supporting cross-functional engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering design and analysis for nuclear electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and system wiring
- Develop engineering design documentation including technical evaluations, calculations, specifications, and obsolete parts equivalencies
- Evaluate and apply nuclear standards, techniques, and procedures to ensure safe and compliant electrical designs
- Use engineering software tools (ETAP, Mathcad, Maximo) and learn new tools as required
- Coordinate with internal engineering and project teams to obtain information and meet schedule requirements
