Security Manager
About this role
Security Manager at Urenco USA's commercial uranium enrichment facility in Eunice, NM. Direct security personnel and oversee physical protection of special nuclear material, classified material, and facility assets. Report to senior leadership and interface with NRC and other regulatory agencies on security compliance, licensing, and inspections.
Responsibilities
- —Manage and implement Physical Security Program, Information Security Program, IT security, Access Authorization, and Fitness for Duty Programs
- —Ensure contracted security force contract adherence and maintain physical protection of plant and classified material
- —Oversee security training programs; verify security force personnel are adequately trained and equipped
- —Support security oversight of subsidiary centrifuge assembly building; coordinate with ET-US Security & Regulatory Affairs Manager
- —Conduct security audits, ensure required reporting completion, and maintain IT infrastructure security
- —Interface with regulatory agency personnel regarding Security Plan, licensing, inspections, performance assessment, and event analysis
- —Provide team leadership, training, coaching, and mentoring to security personnel
- —Develop effective aligned teams; set challenging goals and expectations
- —Develop and manage Security budget
- —Support site and corporate strategies as collaborative Site Leadership Team member
- —Serve as Local Process Owner for Security; ensure alignment with Group and Local Process Owners
- —May serve as Acting Compliance Manager during Compliance Manager absence
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in business, security management, statistics, or engineering
- —5–7 years of responsible nuclear experience implementing a physical security program
- —2 years of management experience
- —CAA Access Authorization and Q-level security clearance
Desired
- —Master's degree in related field
- —More than 7 years of responsible nuclear experience implementing a physical security program
- —Experience implementing Nuclear Material Accounting Program for control of Special Nuclear Material
- —4 or more years of management experience
Location
On-site, Eunice, NM. Professional work schedule with minimal night/weekend support; some nights and weekends required. 10% travel or less. Subject to call-outs and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty 24/7 during designated team duty week. Radiological exposure expectations present.
