Required qualifications
6+ years in security, law enforcement, homeland security, regulatory compliance, or utility/energy sector experience. Strong knowledge of security risk assessment methodologies. Demonstrated experience with local, state, and federal regulatory and law enforcement agencies. In-depth knowledge of NERC CIP regulation standards (CIP-006, CIP-014). Knowledge of electric utility operations, Bulk Electric System, and internal controls. Ability to obtain government-issued security clearance. Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business, or related field (or equivalent education/experience).
About this role
Manage security compliance and infrastructure protection across Dominion Energy facilities. Develop and implement security plans, policies, and procedures meeting NRC and NERC CIP regulatory requirements. Conduct vulnerability assessments, represent the company during regulatory inspections, and serve as primary liaison with government agencies, law enforcement, and NRC inspectors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage security plans, policies, and procedures compliant with NRC and NERC CIP regulatory requirements for nuclear and energy facilities
- Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability assessments, and develop countermeasure strategies in response to credible threat information
- Represent company during NRC inspections, security briefings, and meetings with government agencies; ensure compliance with regulatory commitments
- Develop and maintain agreements with local, state, and federal law enforcement; serve as primary contact during routine operations, drills, inspections, or emergencies
- Evaluate proposed legislation and security intelligence; prepare restricted intelligence summaries for appropriate company distribution
- Develop, coordinate, and administer security compliance training and drills to test security plans and procedures
- Provide security assessment reports and presentations to support risk management decision-making
Preferred qualifications
Security experience at energy company. Critical infrastructure protection background. Military service (E5-E9, W1-CW5, O3-O6).
Location, schedule, and travel
Office-based 76–100%, up to 25% travel
