About this role

Engineer I supporting Westinghouse's Rod Control and Rod Position Indication Systems (RC&PIS) team. Design, develop, and test RC and RPI systems for nuclear reactors, including system drawings, design documentation, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and troubleshooting across internal operations and external vendor facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain RC and RPI system drawings and design documentation
  • Support production of RC and RPI systems and assemblies at internal and external vendor sites
  • Develop test procedures and execute hardware, software, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for RC and RPI systems
  • Prepare detailed test reports and document test results
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during design, manufacturing, testing, and plant operations
  • Support requirements management activities including capture, decomposition, and allocation

Qualifications

BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline; familiarity with engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation; experience with hardware testing and troubleshooting activities
