Required qualifications

About this role

Reactor Vessel Internals Engineer 2 role at Westinghouse's Cranberry, PA facility, supporting design and analysis of reactor vessel internals components. You will perform structural and thermal-mechanical calculations, develop design and qualification documentation, and collaborate with technical leads and customers on engineering projects for nuclear power plants.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical calculations and evaluations using engineering analysis tools and methods (FEA, thermal, stress analysis)
  • Develop technical documentation for calculations, analyses, and design basis
  • Create design documentation for safety and non-safety hardware, including manufacturing drawings, functional specifications, design specifications, and qualification reports
  • Coordinate activities with technical leads, project managers, and customers on assigned work scope
  • Travel occasionally to customer and manufacturing vendor sites for on-site support, technical presentations, and issue resolution

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with nonlinear FEA analysis

Cranberry, PA; hybrid (2–3 days per week onsite); occasional travel to customer and vendor sites
